ストーリー
私は小さい頃、身体がとても弱くて、よく病院のお世話になっていました。
それがきっかけで医学部に進学しました。
そして医学を学ぶうちに、最も謎に満ちた臓器とされる脳に興味を持ち、脳神経内科医になることに決めました。
脳神経内科で扱う病気はたくさんありますが、「世界的な高齢化に伴って増え続ける認知症の方々を救いたい！」という思いから、認知症の診療と研究に特に力を入れてきました。
認知症の治療法は少しずつ進歩していますが、残念ながらまだ完治できる病気ではありません。
そのため、現時点で最も大切なことは認知症の発症予防と早期発見です。
これからも認知症の診療と研究を通して、少しでも世の中に貢献できるように精進していきます。
